Transferring Your Domain Name

We are glad to have you as a customer and know you are probably eager to start using your hosting account, however, prior to being able to utilize all the features of your account you need to make some modifications to your domain name records so that it "points" to our network.

In order to transfer/move your domain name to Silver Bullet Hosting you need to contact your domain name registrar (the company you registered your domain with) and update the "DNS" records for your domain to reflect our DNS servers.

Once your domain name registrar sends a confirmation notice that your domain name records have been updated and that your domain has been transferred, it can take up to 3 to 5 days before the domain name points to our network. All the Internet Service Providers must update their DNS tables to reflect the new web site location. The rate at which this happens can vary among providers.

Please Note: To prevent your site from experiencing downtime, it is recommended that you do not cancel your existing web hosting account for a period of approximately five days after your domain registrar has updated your domain records.
